The Bride ~ Laura
Laura was born in Palatine, IL but moved with her family to Columbus, IN while she was young. She graduated from Columbus East High School in 2005 and Purdue University in spring 2009. Laura is now finishing a Master's degree in Applied Computer Graphics and expected to graduate in the spring of 2011. She has one younger sister.
The Groom ~ Josh
Josh was born and raised in Columbus, IN. He graduated from Columbus East High School in 2005 and then began studies at Purdue University in the fall. In the spring of 2010, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. He now works at Aero Engine Controls. He has two younger brothers.
How we met
The couple met through mutual friends during high school. Josh asked Laura to the Winter Formal dance in November 2002, and they've been dating since.
Our Proposal
Josh proposed to Laura in the evening on July 23, 2010 on the Purdue West Lafayette campus. They enjoyed sushi at Kokoro restaurant in Lafayette before Josh said he wanted to "look around campus." After much walking, Josh popped the question near the "Clapping Circle" (the Memorial Union).
